Chemo Sabe!
Chemo Sabe is a grass roots community service organization consisting of persons who have have been in the depths of chemo therapy or been through it with family or friends. We like to call our selves “friend” and you “friend” because when your life is suddenly turned upside down by the rigors of treatment and survival issues during treatment we want to help. We have contacts, funding, feet, phones, love and determination. We can help you with your journey through the challenges of surviving cancer and chemo. We are boots on the ground- we hold hands, however you need us we are there.
There are major disruption and disconnects in the medical world right now, insurance is scarce and the face of cancer changes daily. We want to encourage you, inspire you and help you find answers to your best survival day to day. We have extensive experience with insurance issues, finding community resources and medical navigation.
Right now our main fund-raising comes from the Great Castell Kayak Race, and private donations. We are a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization and currently beginning the grant writing process to obtain more funding. If you’d like to help we are also finding volunteers and mentors.We are working to help promote the healing way through attitude, food, friends, proper treatment and support.
